Community service and leadership are among the core values of Matovich, Keller Huso. The firm actively encourages its attorneys and staff to give back to the local communities in which they work and live. Our attorneys support numerous local charities and spend countless hours serving as board members on various foundations and nonprofit organizations.
MKH founding partner Carey Matovich recently completed her term serving on the Board of Directors of the Montana Justice Foundation—a nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving equal access to justice for all Montanans by providing funding and other support to programs serving Montana’s most vulnerable populations.
MKH partner Katie Huso regularly provides pro bono representation to low-income Montanans with civil legal needs, most of whom are referred through the Yellowstone Area Bar Association Family Law Project. Katie is also a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate for CASA of Yellowstone County, serving as a voice for abused and neglected children in the foster care system. She is also the President of the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter Board of Directors, whose work includes rehoming stray animals into adoptive families, reuniting lost pets with their owners, providing veterinary care for shelter animals, and holding annual spay/neuter clinics.
MKH partner Ryan Gustafson serves on the Board of Directors of the HER Campaign, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing holistic restoration for victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse and sex trafficking. He is also Vice President of the Board of Directors of the University of Montana Alumni-Billings Chapter.
As a firm, MKH participates in the annual “Adopt-A-Family” program in conjunction with Family Service, Inc. in which community members purchase Christmas gifts for needy families in Billings. The firm’s participation in this important event is largely due to the efforts of our paralegals, Kelli Roberts and Lori Lynch, who solicit participation from individual members of the firm, wrap the gifts and deliver them to Family Services.
